From June 19 to 21, 2024, at the invitation of the partner company, MEKAMIC visited and worked with SWP Elevator – Thailand.

Steel Work Products Ltd., Co is a company specializing in elevator manufacturing in Thailand since 2016. The factory is located in Nonthaburi province, about 30km from central Bangkok.

The company is an authorized partner of Shanghai STEP Electric Corporation to sell elevator and escalator products under the STEP brand.

Mr. Nathachai, Director of SWP, said that SWP is currently importing pulleys from China, but the quality is unstable. He wants to find a new supplier with more reliable products. Mr. Nat proactively contacted MEKAMIC because he had previously exported elevators to Vietnam and was introduced to the quality of MEKAMIC pulleys.

The working session was even more special thanks to the enthusiastic support of Mr. Takeshi Okamatsu – a Japanese friend and a former close partner of MEKAMIC, who is currently working at HOSODA Thailand. Our friends at HOSODA Thailand are ready to support MEKAMIC in finding customers to export elevator pulley products to Thailand and several other brands in Japan.

Thailand is perhaps about 10 years more developed than Vietnam. Although the market capacity for elevator manufacturing in Thailand may not be as large as in Vietnam, we hope that MEKAMIC pulley products will soon be embraced by Thai partners.

A seemingly traditional product, but if we know how to innovate and execute it well, there is an absolutely wide-open market.
